Serian: The Serian District Police Headquarters area in Sarawak recorded an Air Pollutant Index (API) reading in the very unhealthy category at 236 as of 4 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, four areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy readings, namely Sri Aman with an API of 199, Samarahan at 179, Kuching at 174, and Sarikei at 115.

Additionally, 50 areas across the nation reported moderate API readings, while 12 areas recorded good air quality. API readings are categorized as follows: between zero and 50 indicate good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and 301 and above indicate hazardous air quality.
