SEOUL — South Korea braces for a predominantly rainy weekend across most of its major cities, according to the latest forecasts for Saturday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, at 9:01 a.m. on Saturday, significant rainfall is expected in several key urban areas, with Seoul, Incheon, Suwon, Cheongju, Chuncheon, and Gangneung all anticipating a 60% probability of rain. Chuncheon faces even higher chances, with a 70% likelihood of rainfall. Temperatures in these cities will hover between lows in the mid-20s and highs just above 30 degrees Celsius.

Conversely, Daejeon, Jeonju, and Gwangju are predicted to experience cloudy skies with only a 20% chance of rain, maintaining high temperatures similar to the rainy regions. Meanwhile, the southern cities of Jeju, Daegu, and Busan are expected to enjoy predominantly sunny weather, though Daegu sees a sudden spike to a 60% chance of rain amidst the sunshine.

This mixed bag of weather conditions reflects the typical variability in the South Korean climate, affecting everything from transportation to outdoor activities planned for the weekend.
