DAVAO CITY — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has announced that it is halfway through its search of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City, where Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is believed to be hiding. Quiboloy is wanted on charges of child abuse and human trafficking.

According to Philippines News Agency, the search has covered approximately 40 to 50 percent of the 30-hectare facility. Fajardo provided this update during a press briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City, following discussions with Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, Director of Police Regional Office-Davao. The search operation is now in its seventh day.

Fajardo noted that while several buildings have been inspected, the focus remains on areas where signs of human activity have been detected using specialized equipment. The police are also facing challenges in locating an underground facility within the compound. The structure, described as being made of thick stones, metals, and other hard materials, was reportedly built to withstand both man-made calamities and natural disasters.

Due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing operation, Fajardo declined to provide further details to avoid compromising the search efforts.
