Manila — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in the Philippines has successfully repatriated 52 Filipinos who fell victim to illegal recruitment and human trafficking in Laos, amid a renewed call for vigilance among those seeking overseas employment.

According to Philippines News Agency, during a Bagong Pilipinas interview on Wednesday, a total of 75 Filipinos sought assistance from the Philippine government after being duped by promises of employment as customer relations officers in Laos.
