Jinhae: The Navy chiefs of South Korea and the Philippines held talks at a naval command in South Korea and discussed ways to strengthen their bilateral cooperation, the South's Navy said. Adm. Yang Yong-mo and his Philippine counterpart, Vice Adm. Jose Ma Ambrosio Quiatchon Ezpeleta, met at the Submarine Force Command in Jinhae, approximately 310 kilometers southeast of Seoul, to deliberate on enhancing military diplomacy and arms cooperation.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the discussions focused on bolstering military diplomacy and arms cooperation through high-level exchanges and educational initiatives. The meeting emphasized the importance of strategic collaboration between the two nations' naval forces.

Vice Adm. Ezpeleta also took the opportunity to visit the Naval Logistics Command in Jinhae. During this visit, he explored ways to strengthen logistics cooperation between the South Korean and Philippine navies. Additionally, he toured the South Korean Navy's maintenance facilities to gain insights into their operational capabilities.

Ezpeleta's visit to South Korea coincided with ceremonies for the delivery and launch of two Philippine naval corvettes. These vessels were constructed by the South Korean shipbuilder HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and are scheduled for delivery on Thursday.
