Massive Government Investment in Advanced Technologies Announced

SEOUL — The South Korean government has committed to a substantial investment totaling 30 trillion won ($22.6 billion) into artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and various other cutting-edge technologies over the next five years. This investment aims to bolster the country's technological infrastructure and capabilities in several strategic sectors.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this announcement was made during a meeting of the Presidential Advisory Council on Science and Technology. The funds will also support developments in rechargeable batteries, aerospace, ocean engineering, and next-generation communications, highlighting the government's focus on diversifying technological advancements across multiple industries.
