Seoul: Former President Moon Jae-in's daughter has been booked on bribery allegations connected to her ex-husband's hiring as an airline executive, as confirmed by the prosecution on Tuesday. Moon Da-hye faces accusations from a civic group alleging that she received bribes through her ex-husband's salary and relocation expenses after his appointment as executive director of Thai Eastar Jet in 2018.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Jeonju District Prosecutors Office has been investigating this case and received it from the police last month. The focus of the investigation is on suspicions that Moon Da-hye's ex-husband, Seo, was hired by the airline in exchange for Lee Sang-jik's appointment as the head of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency during President Moon's tenure.

Both former President Moon and Lee have been implicated in bribery-related allegations, with Moon accused of receiving bribes and Lee of offering them. The prosecution is not currently considering booking Moon's wife, former first lady Kim Jung-sook, in connection with this case.
