Kuala lumpur: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd (Bank Islam) today presented prizes worth nearly RM2.5 million to eight winners through the iGAIN SME Fortune Drive 2025 programme and the Awfar 2026 campaign, in recognition of their financial discipline and entrepreneurial resilience. Bank Islam group chief business officer (retail banking) Mizan Masram highlighted the award ceremony as a significant part of the 2026 Bank Islam Carnival.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, three winners were awarded prizes under the iGAIN SME Fortune Drive 2025 programme, which ran from September 2 to December 31, 2025. The other five winners emerged victorious in the Awfar 2026 campaign's Monthly Grand Draws. Mizan emphasized that these programs are designed to reward customers while promoting responsible financial practices and sustainable economic growth, which are essential for long-term financial well-being.
Under the iGAIN SME Fortune Drive 2025 programme, Nubex Sdn Bhd won a Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2.4E AT four-wheel drive. Pantai Bharu Plantation Sdn Bhd received RM20,000 in cash, and MFD Solution Sdn Bhd took home RM10,000 in cash. The Awfar 2026 campaign's Monthly Grand Draws saw winner Muzakkir Aman receiving jewellery worth RM500,000 for the May draw. Mohd Jusre Abdul Razak won RM1 million in cash for June, while Halim Salleh and Hakim Khan Mohd Khan each won RM250,000 in cash for the July draw. Nurul Amirah Ali was awarded a Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4MATIC AMG Line FL (CKD) for the August draw.
Mizan noted that the iGAIN programme acknowledges customers and entrepreneurs who successfully expand their business potential through sustainable financial management, while the Awfar campaign encourages a culture of consistent saving. The process of opening an Awfar account has been simplified, allowing customers to do so conveniently from anywhere using the BIMB Mobile application.
Car winner Nurul Amirah, 36, expressed her surprise and gratitude, having been a Bank Islam customer since 2023. She recounted her initial skepticism upon receiving the notification of her win, thinking it might be a scam call. However, she was eventually convinced to attend the ceremony and celebrate her unexpected success.
