Manila: Oil firms announced higher fuel prices beginning Tuesday. In separate advisories on Monday, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, CleanFuel, Shell, and Caltex stated they will increase gasoline prices by 70 centavos per liter and diesel prices by 40 centavos per liter. Seaoil, Shell, and Caltex will also increase kerosene prices by 20 centavos per liter.
According to Philippines News Agency, last week, oil companies hiked gasoline and diesel prices by 80 centavos per liter, while kerosene prices also increased by 10 centavos per liter. Data from the Department of Energy (DOE) showed that as of February 18 this year, gasoline has a total net increase of PHP4.05 per liter, while diesel has a total net increase of PHP4.35 per liter. The DOE reported that the total net increase of kerosene amounted to PHP2.70 per liter.
