Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed Luis Pa±gulayan and Douglas Michael Mallillin as new commissioners of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Commission on Audit (COA), respectively. The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced the new ad interim appointments in a social media post Monday.

According to Philippines News Agency, Pa±gulayan will replace Commissioner Aileen Lizada, whose term expired on February 2. The new CSC commissioner previously served as undersecretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform's Planning and Research Office and as director of the Career Executive Service Board. His term as CSC commissioner is set to expire on February 2, 2032.

Meanwhile, Douglas Michael Mallillin takes on the role of commissioner at the COA, having previously served as Director under the Office of the Chairperson. These appointments are expected to bring new leadership and direction to both the CSC and COA in their respective mandates.
