Seoul: Ham Young-joo, chairman of Hana Financial Group Inc., has been reelected to lead the banking holding firm for another three years, the group announced.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hana Financial stated that its shareholders approved the proposal to appoint Ham as the next chairman for the financial group. Ham initially took the helm of Hana Financial in 2022, and with this reelection, his second term will extend until March 2028.

Ham expressed his intent to prioritize increasing Hana Financial's value and expanding its non-banking business. Last year, Hana Financial achieved a record profit of 3.74 trillion won (US$2.55 billion) in net profit.
