Bicol: The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) seized illegal drugs valued at over PHP1.45 million during operations conducted from February 3 to 9. These operations led to the arrest of 43 individuals involved in illegal drug transactions.

According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon reported that 25 operations were carried out, resulting in the confiscation of 213 grams of shabu and 12 grams of marijuana. Among the provinces, Camarines Sur registered the highest drug seizure, amounting to PHP523,962, closely followed by Camarines Norte with PHP521,944. Albay accounted for PHP258,876, Masbate PHP102,000, and Albay again with PHP160,160. Naga City recorded a seizure worth PHP43,520.

Conversely, the provinces of Catanduanes and Sorsogon did not report any significant drug seizures during this period. Brig. Gen. Dizon urged the public to remain vigilant against illegal drug activities in their communities.

The PRO-5 also acknowledged its personnel for their service and contributions towards the mission of the Philippine National Police. This recognition emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and service-oriented leadership within the ranks.
