Anwar Anticipates Successful Outcomes from Malaysia’s BRICS Participation

New delhi: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed optimism that Malaysia's participation in the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit in India will meet its set objectives. His light-hearted self-reference as 'Guru' in a Facebook post after his arrival in New Delhi has captured the attention of netizens.According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that he is bringing Malaysia's perspective to this significant global platform, adhering to the principles of the MADANI Diplomacy framework. In his Facebook post, he stated, "Alhamdulillah, Guru has safely arrived in New Delhi, India to represent the country on the world stage at the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit."Anwar urged for prayers that this diplomatic mission would achieve its goals, hoping that others would learn from his application of MADANI Diplomacy. His post concluded with the word "Slayyy," adding a touch of humor to the serious diplomatic endeavor.The Prime Minister and his delegation arrived at the Air Force Station (AFS) Palam in New D elhi at 6.30 pm local time (9 pm Malaysian time). On Sunday, Anwar is scheduled to participate in the opening session of the summit and will deliver a National Statement on "Shaping the Future for Inclusive Global Growth."The summit, under the leadership of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is themed "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability." It aims to focus on enhancing resilience, economic cooperation, as well as trade and investment reforms.
