PHILIPPINES, AZERBAIJAN OFFICIALS DISCUSS POTENTIAL PARTNERSHIP ON MSMES

ANKARA – The Philippine Embassy in Ankara co-organized an online meeting with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry-Bureau of Small Medium Enterprise Development (DTI-BSMED) and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan (SMB), to address possible areas of Philippine-Azerbaijani cooperation through the sharing of best practices on interventions for post-pandemic recovery programs, development and services for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on 19 September 2022.

Attendees from the Philippines were DTI-BSMED officials, namely Officer-in-Charge Director Emma Asusano; Ms. Susan Mae Salonga, Chief-Industry Development Specialist; Ms. Teresita Go, Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist; Ms. Deemee Shawn Manalo, Trade-Industry Development Specialist. Attendees from Azerbaijan were SMB officials, namely Mr. Rufat Atakishiyev, Deputy Chairperson; and Ms. Vusala Guliyeva, staff of the International Cooperation Division. Representing the Embassy were Third Secretary and Vice Consul Angela Margeaux E. Tolentino; and Attachés Mr. Wendell Glenn C. Gaa and Ms. Maria Joana Paula A. Gonzales.
