PBBM Names Patrick Gregorio as New PSC Chief


Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has designated former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) chairperson Patrick Gregorio as the new head of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Malaca±ang announced on Saturday. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed in a text message that Gregorio will be replacing Richard Bachmann, a former PBA player who was appointed to the top PSC post in December 2022.



According to Philippines News Agency, Bersamin did not divulge when Gregorio, currently president of the Philippine Rowing Association, would assume his new stint. Malaca±ang did not release a copy of Gregorio’s appointment paper.



Gregorio also served as executive director of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (now Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas) and governor of Talk ‘N Text in the PBA, where he was chair in the 40th season (2014-2015). On the corporate side, he is head of Landco Lifestyle Ventures, which oversees the operations of Camp John Hay legacy hotels.
