Muslim World League Denounces Israel’s Rejection of Gaza Conflict Roadmap

Riyadh: The Muslim World League has vociferously condemned Israel's declared rejection of the roadmap aimed at concluding the conflict in Gaza and establishing a Palestinian state. The roadmap forms a crucial part of US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan, supported by Security Council Resolution 2803, to bring lasting peace to the region.According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the General Secretariat of the League, led by Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, issued a statement expressing strong disapproval of Israel's stance. The Secretary-General, who also serves as the Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, criticized Israel's rejection as an extension of policies that violate international laws and resolutions, thereby undermining peace efforts.Sheikh Al-Issa emphasized the urgent necessity for Israel to adhere completely to the obligations outlined in President Trump's comprehensive plan and its roadmap. He urged the implementation of the second phase of the plan and called for m easures to prevent any party from hindering its progress. Al-Issa also praised a statement from the foreign ministers of several nations, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE. These countries have shown firm solidarity with the Palestinian people and unwavering support for their legitimate rights, particularly the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state. The two-state solution, along with relevant international resolutions, is upheld as the sole pathway to achieving enduring peace in the region.
