P1.3-M equipment to boost police ICT capability in W. Visayas

ILOILO: The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) released PHP1.3 million worth of information and communication technology (ICT) equipment to selected units to boost their capability.

The recipients were chosen based on their needs, PRO6 spokesperson Lt. Col. Arnel Solis said in a text message on Tuesday.

The recipients included the Guimaras Police Provincial Office, Regional Operations Division, Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division, and the Regional Information and Communication Technology Management Division.

‘May these items and equipment boost your office’s capabilities, make our personnel work easier and faster, and contribute to better services to our clientele,’ Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky said in a statement.

The equipment included a Fortinet Range Series Network Firewall, six Starlink Kits, three laptops and three desktop computers with licensed operating systems, anti-virus, and printers.

They also received two safety full-body harnesses and helmets, a 24-foot fiberglass ladder, a fiber opt
ic fusion splicer, and four CCTV cameras and accessories.

The equipment were released following their flag-raising ceremony at the regional headquarters on Monday.
