LG Uplus Corp. on Thursday reported its first-quarter net profit of 130.4 billion won (US$95.3 million), down 15.9 percent from a year earlier.
Operating income for the January-March period was 220.9 billion won, down 15.1 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 1 percent to 3.57 trillion won.
The earnings fell short of market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 136.4 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
