Kyrgyz Cabinet and UAE delegation discuss Government Accelerators program

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Minister for Competitiveness and Exchange of Experience Abdullah Nasser Luta.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the forthcoming launch of the first three projects of the joint intergovernmental Government Accelerators program.

In 2021, the head of state reached an agreement with the top leadership of the UAE on the exchange of experience in carrying out accelerated reforms in the republic – the introduction of Government Accelerators.

‘The government of Kyrgyzstan intends to work hard to learn from the successful experience of transforming the economy of the UAE, which is admired by the whole world. Thanks to the goodwill of the leadership of our countries, the Government Accelerators program will lay a solid foundation for large and successful cooperation between the two states,” Edil Baisalov said.

In turn, Abdulla Nasser Luta noted that due to obvious successes in state development, the investment attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan has recently increased. The high-ranking representative of the UAE Cabinet of Ministers expressed hope that the joint projects would give a tangible impetus to the development of the Kyrgyz-Emirati cooperation and lay a solid foundation for the preparation and implementation of new projects and programs.

The Government Accelerators is a UAE Government initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in October 2016. It is a platform for cross-sectoral government teams to address challenges and achieve ambitious goals in short periods. It focuses on accelerating the delivery of strategic programs, the development of policies and regulations, and enhancing Government services.
