HD Hyundai Oilbank wins 3-year fuel supply deal in Guam

HD Hyundai Oilbank Co., the refining unit of shipbuilding-to-energy conglomerate HD Hyundai, said Wednesday it has signed a three-year deal to supply sulfur diesel to the Guam Power Authority.

HD Hyundai Oilbank, South Korea’s fourth-biggest refiner by sales, will provide a total of 7.2 million barrels of ultra-low sulfur diesel to the power authority by 2027, the company said in a statement.

The contracted diesel will be delivered through the Korean trading firm Hyundai Corp. to the authority, it said.

The company didn’t provide the value of the contract.

HD Hyundai Oilbank began to export its fuel in 2021, starting with shipments to Hawaii, and expanded its gasoline and diesel shipments to the United States in recent years.
