FILIPINO PARTICIPANTS RAISE THE FLAG AT COMPREHENSIVE SECURITY COURSE IN HONOLULU

HONOLULU 02 November 2022 – Acting Head of Post Grace Bulos represented the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu at the Commencement Ceremony honoring participants in the five-week Comprehensive Security Cooperation Course 2022-3 held at Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in September and October.

Seven Philippine fellows participated in the CSC course, namely: Lieutenant Commander Analyn A. Antonio, Chief, Counterintelligence Branch, N2 Philippine Navy; Ms. Kristina Camille G. Cablayan, Chief, Multilateral Cooperation Division, Multilateral Cooperation Division, Philippine Department of National Defense; Major Ramil S. Dohinog, Deputy, AC of MS for Personnel, MC2, Personnel Department, Philippine Marine Corps, Philippine Navy; Major Jason K. Frias, Executive Officer, Marine Battalion Landing Team 12, Philippine Marine Corps, Philippine Navy; Commodore Edgardo Hernando, Force Commander, Coast Guard SOF, Department of Transportation, Philippine Coast Guard; Lieutenant Colonel Joey Poe B. Larisma, Military Officer, Pj8, G HQ, Armed Forces of the Philippines; and Ms. Katherine B. Linga, Planning Officer V (Division Chief), Philippine Department of National Defense.

Ms. Bulos expressed her appreciation to the Philippine participants in the course, citing the importance of the knowledge gained and networks developed in fostering greater security cooperation in the region. She was pleased with the positive feedback received from the DKI-APCSS on how participative the Philippine fellows were and how well they represented the country. She also noted that women were well-represented in the seven-person Philippine contingent.

The CSC is a five-week in resident executive program offered by the DKI-APCSS three times a year for mid-level military, government and non-government professionals who intersect with the security sphere.
