Sadyr Zhaparov to take part in OTS Summit in Ankara and meet with Turkish President

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov will pay a working visit to Ankara (Republic of Turkiye) on March 16-17, Muratbek Azymbakiev, head of the foreign policy department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic said. ‘During the visit, the head of state will take part in an extraordinary meeting of the Summit of the Heads of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The theme of the extraordinary meeting of the heads of state of the Organization is “Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance”. The parties will discuss issues of natural disasters caused by natural and man-made hazards, as well as collective response measures. The Summit will be attended by the heads of the member states of the Organization – the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Turkiye, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Prime Minister of Hungary and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan will take part in the work of the upcoming summit as countries with the status of observers in the OTS. During the visit, it is also planned to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which topical issues of bilateral cooperation will be discussed,’ Muratbek Azymbakiev said.
