Putin arrives in Ulan-Ude

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Ulan-Ude on Tuesday where he is set to visit the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant and hold a meeting on the development of Far East cities, TASS reported. The president, cabinet members, governors of the Trans-Baikal Region, Sakhalin and Amur regions and heads of some Russian companies will attend the meeting by video link. Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev and Head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexey Tsydenov will be at the meeting in person. Putin is also expected to hold a separate meeting with Tsydenov. The president last visited Buryatia in August 2017 when he was dealing the aftermath of wildfires in Buryatia and the Irkutsk Region.
