TGP Party-list Seeks Third Term to Expand Social Services

MANILA - The TGP (Talino at Galing ng Pilipino) party-list is vying for a third term in the upcoming 2025 midterm national and local elections, aiming to enhance its advocacy and service programs nationwide.

According to Philippines News Agency, Rep. Jose Teves Jr., the current House Deputy Majority Leader, filed his certificate of nomination on Saturday at The Manila Hotel Tent City. Teves articulated his aspiration for the party-list to win three seats in Congress, which he believes would significantly bolster their capability to extend and amplify their services across various sectors. "We've seen the positive impact of our work on the lives of countless Filipinos. With more representation, we can enhance and double our efforts in providing essential services, especially in the areas of youth empowerment, healthcare, and environmental protection," Teves explained.

TGP party-list has been at the forefront of numerous initiatives, including youth empowerment programs aimed at providing education and livelihood opportunities. Their healthcare initiatives focus on making medicines more affordable, reducing drug prices, and reforming the Department of Health's Medical Assistance to Indigent Patients program to potentially eliminate doctors' fees for indigent patients. They are also actively involved in environmental protection through both legislative actions and community-based projects.

Furthermore, TGP has supported infrastructure projects like the construction of multi-purpose buildings, farm-to-market roads, covered courts, evacuation centers, and solar-powered water systems. They have also facilitated the distribution of gardening tools and provided assistance through government aid programs such as the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation, Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers, and the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program.

Teves highlighted the critical nature of maintaining TGP's presence in Congress to continue these programs. "We cannot afford to lose momentum. I'm calling on all our supporters to stand with us and ensure that TGP continues its mission in Congress. Together, we can achieve more," he urged.
