Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn received a courtesy call from Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong SAR) John Lee Ka-chiu at the ASEAN Secretariat today. They exchanged views on regional economic development, including the implementation of the ASEAN-Hong Kong, China Free Trade Agreement (AHKFTA); the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement and Hong Kong SAR’s interest in acceding to the RCEP Agreement; and possible cooperation to strengthen economic relations between ASEAN and Hong Kong SAR, especially in the areas of trade, investment, digital economy, sustainable development, and supply chain resilience.
