PH CONSULATE REPATRIATES 203 FILIPINOS FROM MACAU, BRINGS TOTAL REPATRIATED TO 5,761

MACAU SAR – The Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR successfully conducted its 29th repatriation from Macau carrying 203 Filipinos back to the Philippines on 25 March 2022. This brings the total of repatriated Filipinos from Macau to 5,761, through 29 repatriation flights, since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.

The flight also brought home the remains of three Filipinos who died in Macau of non-COVID related causes.

In celebration of the Philippine National Women’s Month, POLO-OWWA Macau headed by Labor Attaché, Ma. Nena G. German and Welfare Officer Zosima Maria P. Santos also distributed hygiene kits to women who joined the repatriation flight.

The Philippine Consulate General will continue organizing similar flights until the Macau Government has declared it safe to allow international commercial flights to operate again.
