Hankook Tire and Technology Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 323.1 billion won (US$234.7 million), up 128.4 percent from a year earlier.The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 420 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 248.2 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 2.4 percent to 2.31 trillion won.The earnings beat market expectations.
