Generally Fair Weather Expected Across the Philippines as Typhoon Bualoi Moves Towards Vietnam

Manila: The country will experience generally fair weather on Sunday as Typhoon Bualoi (formerly Opong) is now in the vicinity of Vietnam, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.According to Philippines News Agency, in its 5 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau reported that Opong is now located 1,075 km west of Northern Luzon, exhibiting maximum sustained winds of 120 km per hour (kph) and gustiness up to 150 kph.PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina confirmed that Opong is no longer affecting the country, apart from the southwest monsoon (habagat) affecting the offshore areas of Palawan. He noted that fair weather is anticipated in the next three days, as no cloud clusters indicating potential low-pressure areas (LPA) are currently monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).Residents in Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to prevailing easterlies. The entire archipelago will experience light to moderate northeast to southeast winds, alongside slight to moderate sea conditions.
