Furniture entrepreneur wins BSN SSP second millionaire prize

A 56-year-old furniture entrepreneur from Kuala Lumpur was announced as the second Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) SSP millionaire this year.

BSN in a statement today said the February 2023 Millionaire Draw was announced at the BSN SSP Draw on March 4 at Wisma Sanyan, Sibu, Sarawak.

“He has started saving in BSN SSP consistently since 1992 and has won several categories of prizes before. He advises the public to start saving consistently immediately even if only in small amounts, especially in BSN SSP.

“BSN continues to be committed to improving BSN SSP products from time to time in order to remain competitive. We are conducting this continuous effort to encourage Malaysians, especially the young, to save,” said the statement.

According to the statement, BSN has introduced various categories of draws and exciting prizes this year with a total of RM27 million worth of prizes for over 18,000 winners, in addition to offering a Millionaire Draw with one winner taking home BSN SSP RM1 million every month.

“Even more special this year, BSN is offering a BSN SSP prize of RM1 million and also a BMW X5 car in the December draw. The minimum deposit requirement is RM3,000 for at least 90 days,” according to the statement.

BSN also said that BSN SSP depositors who are teachers now have the opportunity to participate in a new category, the Teacher Draw which will be held every month with a BSN SSP reward of RM50,000 for the first prize with a minimum deposit of RM200, in addition to the Millionaire Draw in April which will be held especially for teachers.

BSN added that the next BSN SSP carnival will be held at Aeon Kinta City Mall Ipoh, Perak from next Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm.

In the meantime, BSN chief executive Jay Khairil said as of January, BSN SSP’s total savings amounted to almost RM5 billion and more than RM250 million was recorded as new savings for the same month.
