Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Satvinder Singh received a courtesy call from Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Indonesia and ASEAN Abdulla Salem AIDhaheri. They exchanged views on ASEAN-UAE economic relations, particularly on UAE’s interest to embark on a free trade agreement with ASEAN. They also discussed possible cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, transportation and supply chain, food and energy security, sustainability and decarbonisation to strengthen economic relations between ASEAN and UAE.
