The delegation of the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU) will take part in the meeting of the 73rd Congress of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), which is held on March 16 in the city of Kigali in Rwanda, the press service of the KFU said.
The Kyrgyz delegation will be represented by KFU President Mederbek Sydykov, KFU Vice President Dastanbek Konokbaev and KFU Secretary General Nurdin Bukuev.
The results for 2022 and present financial statements for this period will be summed at a meeting of the FIFA congress, as well as the budget for the coming years and condemn proposals from the football associations of the countries to be considered.
One of the main issues will be the election of the FIFA president for a four-year term 2023-2027. The current head of the International Football Federation, Gianni Infantino, will run for the post. He is the only candidate for this position – the candidate is eligible for three terms, and if elected, Infantino will serve his last term in office.
As part of participation in the congress, the leadership of the KFU will hold a number of meetings with the leaders of other national associations.
