LEGAZPI CITY - The Civil Service Commission (CSC) in Bicol collected 60 blood bags during a one-day bloodletting drive at Pacific Mall on Thursday. The event was part of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration, aimed at bolstering the region’s blood supply.

According to Philippines News Agency, Chief Human Resource Specialist Lilia A. Jadie, who coordinated the project, more than 68 blood donors participated in the activity. The blood collected during the drive will be delivered to the Department of Health (DOH)-Bicol Sub-National Reference Laboratory. The event was conducted in collaboration with several government agencies, including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Legazpi City Water District (LCWD), and the Albay Provincial Human Resource Management Office.

The nationwide bloodletting drive was held simultaneously, with CSC's regional offices contributing under the theme "Malasakit," which reflects care for others.
