World-Class Contemporary Arts Center Set to Transform Circuit Makati.

MANILA: A center for contemporary arts is set to rise at the Circuit Makati shopping center under the operational expertise of Ayala Foundation, which manages the Ayala Museum and the Filipinas Heritage Library. The center promises to be a thought-provoking space that will showcase visual art in all its forms and will further establish the Circuit as a prime destination for culture and creativity. The Circuit already features the Samsung Performance Arts Theatre and the PowerMac Black Box Theatre.

According to Philippines News Agency, Ayala Foundation chair Fernando Zobel de Ayala expressed enthusiasm for the new project in a news release. He described the center as an experimental platform for artists to explore innovative concepts in response to the ever-changing world. The center aims to foster curiosity and creativity, igniting a passion for contemporary art. It is not only a showcase for contemporary arts but also a space that nurtures the creative spirit within everyone.

t coincides with the significant milestones of the 50th anniversary of Ayala Museum and Ayala Corporation’s 190th anniversary. This new center will serve as an anchor in Makati’s emerging creative district, situated by the scenic Pasig River. The building’s design emphasizes sustainability and future-forward solutions, aligning with the city’s commitment to environmental consciousness in light of pressing climate challenges.

The center will also align with the Philippine government’s vision for the 25-kilometer Pasig River esplanade. Ayala Foundation president Tony Lambino highlighted the center’s role in appreciating Filipino culture and heritage as integral to national development. The upcoming contemporary arts center is seen as a commitment to uphold arts and culture as a vital pillar of Ayala Foundation.
