Timezone Philippines Targets Holiday Season to Bolster Financial Performance

Manila: With the holiday season bringing peak family gatherings and boosted spending from bonuses and gifts, Timezone Philippines is banking on the relaunch of its pioneer Glorietta branch to sustain its revenues. Timezone Philippines president and general manager Raffy Prats Jr., during the relaunch of Timezone Glorietta on Friday, said December is the most important month for the company.

According to Philippines News Agency, Prats highlighted that 20 percent of the company’s bottom line is generated in December, emphasizing the significance of the holiday period. The peak period for the company spans from December 15 to 24, with the super peak occurring from December 25 to January 3, coinciding with the time when children receive Christmas gifts.

Prats explained that the summer months of April and May, influenced by school breaks and summer outings, are the second-largest contributors to their earnings. He acknowledged that revenues have faced challenges in recent years due to the pandemic, natural disasters in various regions, and reduced mall foot traffic caused by renovation closures, including the temporary shutdown of the Glorietta branch.

Despite these challenges, Prats expressed optimism that the relaunch of the Glorietta branch would boost foot traffic and, consequently, revenues. Although he did not disclose specific revenue figures, he mentioned that this year has been relatively stable for the company.

Prats further shared plans for the future, noting a positive outlook for 2026, with expectations of double-digit growth. He characterized this year as a period of consolidation, focusing on renovating as many branches as possible.
