Reps of Amazon and leading companies from Japan, Germany and Korea to attend IT forum in Bishkek

Representatives of the American company Amazon, top managers of IT companies from Japan, Germany and the Republic of Korea will attend the first Central Asian Technological Forum in Bishkek, Chubak Temirov, executive director of the High-Tech Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, told Kabar. Business associations, young IT professionals and universities from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will have the opportunity to meet with them at the forum and negotiate possible cooperation or employment. ‘There will be a large delegation from Japan – more than 16 companies. There will be representatives from Amazon and top managers of companies from Korea and Germany. IT-Park of Uzbekistan and Astana Hub will come with their startups,’ Temirov said. He explained that among the start-up teams from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the best ones will be selected, and their authors will be awarded within the framework of the forum at the Tech Awards ceremony. The winners will have the opportunity to visit the offices of IT giants in the US. ‘The forum will be a unique opportunity to demonstrate all its potential for business in the US and Japan, as well as Germany and Korea. First of all, it will be useful for those guys who want to develop in the IT field. Some of our universities are already working with Japanese companies, and they want to strengthen their positions. Therefore, I would like to encourage our universities, private courses and everyone in education to participate in the forum. Japanese business is interested in the personnel potential of Kyrgyzstan in the field of outstaffing, so that the guys can work for Japanese companies. There is also a great opportunity to offer outsourcing services to Japanese companies. CEOs or founders of companies come to Bishkek – this is a chance to get contracts with them,’ Temirov added. He noted that last year IT companies from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan made a business trip to New York, during which they talked about their capabilities. Meetings with representatives of the US IT industry have borne fruit, arousing their interest in personnel opportunities in Central Asia. The upcoming forum aims to open even greater prospects for cooperation to world leaders. The large-scale event is actively supported by diplomatic missions in Kyrgyzstan, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as the administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting will be held on March 24 at the Sheraton Hotel in Bishkek.
