PPP Center: P2.6-T PPP Projects in the Pipeline


Manila: The Philippines is set to embark on an ambitious development initiative with 251 projects worth PHP2.61 trillion, slated to be executed through a collaboration between the government and the private sector, as revealed by the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center.



According to Philippines News Agency, the PPP Center’s latest data highlights that as of Wednesday, 162 projects valued at PHP2.45 trillion are earmarked for implementation by the national government. Meanwhile, local government units will oversee the remaining 89 projects, which are valued at PHP158.8 billion.



In terms of sector allocation, railway projects dominate the landscape with a total value of PHP1.76 trillion. Following this, land transport projects account for PHP231.19 billion, while property development projects total PHP205.29 billion. A significant portion of these initiatives will be concentrated in the National Capital Region, Region 4-A (Calabarzon), and Region 1 (Ilocos Region).
