Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, Southern Leyte

 

DESCRIPTION

 

From January 2, 2023 until present, The Trough of Low-Pressure Area (LPA) has been affecting Visayas

 

The whole Eastern Visayas experienced cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Trough of LPA. Moderate to strong winds from the East-Northeast prevailed over the whole Visayas, with moderate to rough seas.

RELATED INCIDENTS:

– 40 areas were flooded. Of which, 8 are still flooded and 8 are receding.

– 2 vehicular accidents were reported.

 

AFFECTED POPULATION

– A total of 8,389 families of 31,578 persons from 78 barangays were affected. Of which, 76 families or 319 persons were served inside 7 ECs.

 

ROADS AND BRIDGES

– 7 road sections and 1 bridge were affected, of which, 1 road section and the said bridge is still not passable.

 

POWER

– Power Interruption were reported in 6 cities/municipalities in Leyte and all were restored

 

WATER

– Water Interruption were reported in 1 municipality in Leyte and is restored.

 

CLASS AND WORK SUSPENSION

– 67 cities/municipalities suspended classes while 31 cities/municipalities suspended work

 

PRE-EMPTIVE EVACUATION

– A total of 1,823 families or 4,418 persons were pre-emptively evacuated
