PDEA Seizes PHP23.8 million Worth of ‘Shabu’ in Cavite Operation

Manila – A significant drug bust in Cavite province resulted in the arrest of four suspects and the seizure of illegal drugs worth PHP23.8 million. The operation, conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), took place on Thursday night and targeted a suspected drug ring in Bacoor City.

According to Philippines News Agency, the suspects, identified as Montaha Abbas (43), Datu Bandong (37), Norhata Abbas (39), and Elsie Bandong (36), were apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Springville South Phase 2, Barangay Molino 4. The operation, conducted at around 7:20 p.m., resulted in the confiscation of approximately 3.5 kilograms of suspected shabu, along with buy-bust money, mobile phones, and a notebook containing records of drug transactions.

The suspects are now facing charges for the sale of dangerous drugs and conspiracy to sell, under Section 5 in relation to Section 26B of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
