Lig Nex1 Co. on Friday reported its first-quarter net profit of 60.6 billion won (US$44 million), up 1.5 percent from a year earlier.
The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the January-March period fell 1.8 percent on-year to 67 billion won. Sales increased 39.6 percent to 763.5 billion won.
The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 44.2 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
