The weather remained generally dry in the southern ASEAN region although some showers were observed over parts of Peninsular Malaysia, northern and central Sumatra as well as eastern Borneo. Isolated hotspots were detected mainly in southern Sumatra, western Kalimantan, Peninsular Malaysia and the Lesser Sunda Islands. Thin smoke haze was observed over southern Sumatra.
In the northern ASEAN region, wet weather conditions prevailed and the overall hotspot activities remained subdued. Isolated hotspots were detected in Thailand, Cambodia and Viet Nam but no smoke haze was observed.
