Seoul: The KOSPI 200 closed with notable movements in a variety of stocks, as investors witnessed gains in several major companies. Among the top performers, NAVER and AMOREPACIFIC experienced substantial increases, with NAVER rising by 8,000 to close at 208,500, and AMOREPACIFIC climbing by 7,700 to settle at 115,800.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also showed positive movements. HANMISemi saw an increase of 6,200, reaching a closing price of 99,500, while L and F rose 4,300 to 85,900. Kakao and NCsoft both saw their stock prices rise by 1,100, closing at 39,150 and 190,100 respectively. KEPCO E and C ended the day with a gain of 1,400 to 56,100.
Several companies faced declines in their stock prices. HYUNDAIGLOVIS experienced a significant drop of 4,600, closing at 129,900. LIG Nex1 saw a decrease of 10,000, ending at 250,000, while DAEWOONG PHARM fell by 800 to 126,400. POONGSAN and HYUNDAIDEPTST also saw declines, with POONGSAN down 300 at 52,900 and HYUNDAIDEPTST down 200 at 46,600.
Despite these declines, several other companies showed resilience. Hanwha Ocean increased by 750 to 38,100, JB Financial Group rose by 400 to 16,100, and Hana Financial Group gained 800 to close at 57,800. LG Chem and KB Financial Group also saw gains, with LG Chem up 3,000 to 256,500 and KB Financial Group up 1,700 to 85,500.
