Manila: The Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) has urged the Department of Justice (DOJ) to issue immigration lookout bulletin orders (ILBO) for 16 more individuals as part of its ongoing investigation into suspicious flood control projects.
According to Philippines News Agency, the ICI submitted a request to the DOJ on October 13, seeking ILBOs for former Caloocan 2nd District Rep. Mary Cajayon-Uy, along with Arturo ‘Art’ Atayde, Alvin Tan, Bong Marasigan, Elmer de Leon, Ed Fuentebella, Johnny Santos, John Mary Vianney Parago, Alvin Mariano, Ryan Uy, Darryl Recio, Nestor Venturina, and Benjie Tocol. Additionally, the order was requested for Public Works and Highways district engineers Aristotle Ramos and Michael Rosaria, as well as project engineer Angelina Garucha.
The ICI had previously requested ILBOs for notable figures such as former Senate President Francis Escudero and former House of Representatives Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez. Other political figures and government officials on the list include Senators Joel Villanueva and Jinggoy Estrada, former Senators Ramon Revilla Jr. and Nancy Binay, and various representatives and private individuals.
An ILBO is a directive for immigration officers to monitor the travel of the specified individuals closely. The DOJ has confirmed that the ILBO for the additional individuals, as requested by the ICI, has been approved and issued. ‘The OIC (officer-in-charge) Secretary [Fredderick Vida] has approved the ICI’s request against them and an ILBO has already been issued,’ the DOJ stated in a release.
