Vietnam Reports 3,336 New COVID-19 Cases, 44,186 In Total

HANOI, Jul 17 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam reported 3,336 new COVID-19 infections yesterday, including 3,321 locally transmitted and 15 imported, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

The new infections brought the total tally to 44,186 with 225 deaths.

Among th

e community cases, 2,420 were reported in the southern epicentre, Ho Chi Minh City, 166 in the nearby southern Binh Duong province, and 158 in the southern Dong Thap province.

Nationwide, as many as 10,020 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered, up 332 from Thursday.

As of yesterday, Vietnam registered a total of 42,179 domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases, including 40,609 detected since the start of the latest outbreak, in late Apr, according to the health ministry.– NNN-VNA
