U.S.-ASEAN Connect and the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) organized a webinar on November 10 highlighted career opportunities in the circular economy, sustainability, and climate action. USASEAN Charge d’Affaires Joseph Young opened the event by highlighting the need for the next generation of ASEAN leaders to chart a new course and rise to the challenge of addressing the climate crisis. During the panel discussion, panelists agreed that green jobs can significantly improve the environment and promote sustainable development worldwide. The panel provided an opportunity to discuss U.S. leadership in climate action in the public and private sectors and a platform for young professionals in Southeast Asia to learn about emerging career opportunities and skills needed to help ASEAN achieve sustainable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar drew a virtual audience from across the region.
