TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR THEFT OF GOLD BRACELET

The Police have arrested two men, aged 32 and 34,  for their suspected involvement in a case of theft of a gold bracelet.

On 6 August 2021 at about 2.05pm, the Police were alerted to a theft of a gold bracelet, valued at $4,000, at a pawnshop along Eunos Crescent.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV footages, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the two men and arrested them within 12 hours of the report. Preliminary investigations revealed that the men are believed to be involved in other similar cases of theft. The gold bracelet was also recovered and seized as a case exhibit.

The men will be charged in court on 10 August 2021 with theft in dwelling with common intention, punishable under Section 380 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years, and a fine.
