On 7 July 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, YB Dato' Sri Anifah Hj. Aman held a dialogue with fellow Malaysians on Transformasi Nasional 2050 (TN50) in London, United Kingdom. It was the first ever event on TN50 by the Minister involving Malaysians abroad.

The dialogue was held in line with the TN50's 'bottom-up' approach, which calls for broad-based and inclusive engagement with all segments of Malaysian society, including those living abroad. The inaugural dialogue was warmly received and attended by 150 Malaysians residing in the United Kingdom. Participants engaged in a robust discussion and shared their aspirations for Malaysia's future with the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

At the dialogue, YB Dato' Sri Anifah Hj. Aman also launched a TN50 photography competition entitled My Aspiration, My Future. The contest, which is open to all Malaysian citizens currently residing overseas, runs from 7 July to 30 September 2017. Its aim is to encourage Malaysians abroad to share their aspirations for Malaysia in 2050 through photos.
