On the sidelines of the 20th Southeast Asia Red Cross and Red Crescent Leaders Meeting, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn and International Federation Red Cross (IFRC) Regional Director for Asia Pacific Alexander Matheou discussed the implementation of ASEAN-IFRC MoU on the Strengthening of Community Resilience in Southeast Asia. The MoU outlined areas of technical cooperation and key priorities to strengthen community resilience in ASEAN, including disaster management, disaster risk reduction, disaster law, health in emergencies, disaster relief and emergency response, gender, youth, and climate change.
