The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the latest developments taking place in a number of regions in Kazakhstan, and wishes to advise that all Malaysians in the country are safe.

Based on the record of the Embassy of Malaysia in capital Nur-Sultan, 79 Malaysians are registered with the Embassy. They include diplomats and their dependents at the Embassy, as well as at the MATRADE and Tourism Malaysia offices in Almaty. The Embassy has advised them to give utmost priority to their personal safety and security, avoid protest areas, and abide by instructions issued by the relevant local authorities.
