SEOUL: South Korea has expressed "deep concern" following Israel's recent military strikes on Iran, urging all involved parties to pursue a diplomatic resolution to the escalating tensions in the region.According to Yonhap News Agency, Israel's military launched strikes against multiple targets in Iran, including missile manufacturing facilities, as a retaliation to Iran's missile attack earlier this month. In response, South Korea's foreign ministry spokesperson, Lee Jae-woong, conveyed the government's apprehension over the increasing hostilities. Lee emphasized the importance of diplomacy and appealed to all parties to cease the ongoing cycle of attack and retaliation.The South Korean presidential office has also convened a meeting to assess the safety of South Korean citizens, companies, and diplomatic missions in the Middle East. Additionally, officials are evaluating the potential economic repercussions arising from the heightened tensions in the region.
