Promoted Bacolod, NegOcc Police Personnel Encouraged to Elevate Performance

Bacolod: The 744 promoted personnel of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) were urged by their respective superiors to elevate their performance in serving their communities.

According to Philippines News Agency, a total of 527 officers under the NOCPPO and national support units of the Philippine National Police (PNP), along with 217 from the BCPO, donned new ranks and took their oath in ceremonies held at their respective headquarters in the city. NOCPPO Director Col. Rainerio de Chavez emphasized that promotions are milestones reflecting hard work, commitment, and dedication to the mission of the PNP and the community.

Col. de Chavez noted that as personnel don their new ranks, they should be prepared to face challenges and opportunities, fostering teamwork, resilience, and continuous improvement. He urged them to wear their new ranks with pride and responsibility.

Under the NOCPPO, 475 personnel were promoted, alongside others from various units including the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, the PNP Maritime Group, the Aviation Group, and the Anti-Kidnapping Group and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

BCPO Director Col. Joeresty Coronica highlighted that a promotion entails responsibility, reminding that higher ranks come with greater expectations and more demanding challenges. He encouraged personnel to elevate their performance to match the new level of accountability, embrace new roles, and be prepared for potential reassignments that are crucial for developing leadership skills and advancing professional growth.

Of the 217 promoted BCPO personnel, 208 are police non-commissioned officers, while nine are commissioned officers.
